VLCD Day #16

Current Weight: 141.0 lbs. (-1.0)
Dose: 150iu (SQ) *went down cause I was really hungry yesterday*

Breakfast: Yerba Mate Chai
Lunch: Chicken with "honey" mustard and Baked Onions
Dinner: Tilapia and Tomatoes (with ACV, basil, and S&P)
Snack: Roma with milk
I woke up to a 1 lb. loss! So encouraging. I have also had SO much energy today. We went to the library and picked out some books then later in the afternoon, I drove 30 minutes to deposit checks in a bank that is connected to our bank back in Utah, (barely made it in time because of a huge accident and horrible traffic) and then cleaned out the van on the way home... vacuumed and all! It was great! The kids were really good so that helped. The van looks SO much better! Then I came home, fed and bathed the kids, painted my daughters fingernails, then proceeded to make my dinner while washing dishes and starting a load of laundry. I felt like superwoman!!

I had the most delicious dinner! The Tilapia was seasoned with a simple chicken grill seasoning from Kroger (no sugar) and then baked for about 25 minutes.

I had a detox bath. I heard they are so relaxing! It's just hot (as hot as you can stand) water, 2 cups of epsom salt, 1-2 cups of baking soda, ginger, & baby oil. I stayed in for about 35 minutes and then wrapped up in warm clothes for another 30. It felt nice!

However, I am really hungry tonight.. I am wondering about my dose.. I don't want to keep tweaking it. I am going to have my skip day and see how I feel.

I was feeling really skinny as I lay in bed this morning. I was hoping for a big loss! But I stepped on the scale and got a .6 lb loss. I'll take it, especially after the rogue cocoa incident last night. I won't be doing that again!

I have been so so hungry today and I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't have gone up. Maybe I should have gone down?

Yerba Mate Chai


Ingredients:
1 Yerba Mate Chai Tea Bag
1 cup Water
1/3 dropper of Vanilla Stevia
Capful of Milk (less than 1 TBSP)

Directions:
Boil water. Let tea steep 3-10 minutes. Add milk and sweetener and enjoy!

Woke up to a .8 lb loss today and I'm excited about that. 2 days in a row! I also measured again today and I didn't lose as many inches this week. In fact, I only lost about 1/2 the inches that I did last week. I guess that's to be expected though, right? I mean, I've only lost half the weight.

Well, off to another great start today. Today I am going to cut out the onion, just to see how it affects my losses. I have been eating them like candy (cutting them into rings and baking them with a few melba crumbs.. can you say Onion rings?!).. anyway, I know I am losing so its not that big of a deal but I'm still trying to figure out what foods make me have lower losses. I think cabbage might be one that I don't do well on, I don't know why exactly.

I am doing a little better this morning after yesterday's stall. I am down .8 lbs today. I'll take it! I think part of my problem is that things haven't been moving if you know what I mean. I had some smooth move tea last night and it help a tiny bit but not much.

My kids are watching Barney right now and they are making pizza. Like, real pizza. I am tempted to turn it off because pizza is a major vice for me! I guess I'll just avert my eyes! :)

This is my first stall so I am very discouraged. I need to remember it is normal and nothing I "did". In fact, because of my low loss yesterday, I was very careful with fruit. Didn't seem to help, huh?! Lol.. oh well, hoping for a big loss tomorrow.

Dinner: Chicken Breast and Onion Rings (baked sliced onions coated in Melba)

So I woke up with a .2 lb loss today. But a loss is a loss is a loss. I have to keep that in mind. It's the lowest loss that I've experienced yet but I can't complain because I haven't stalled yet. (knock on wood, even though I know it's coming sometime). I think I am either going to do 1 or 2 apples today, instead of strawberries and see if that helps. The thing is, I've had losses on days I've had lots of strawberries... so I don't know if that's it. I did have a lot of salt yesterday so maybe that's it? I don't know.. I guess everyone's losses slow down, even if they do everything right.

I think my next big hurdle is getting into the 130's, which I haven't seen for many years. I feel like my body has always resisted getting into the 130's so I hope this time is different.

I was a little disappointed because I felt "bigger" last night than I usually do so I thought for sure I was going to gain or stall today. But I woke up to a pleasant surprise and the pound fairy was also at my house last night.

I woke up to another pound loss today! Hoorary! So happy about that! I have strawberries everyday (smoothie) so maybe I will cut them back tomorrow and see if I do better. I did end up cutting one of my fruits out yesterday though.

Today has been great after a hard day yesterday. I searched ALL OVER for Yerba Mate tea because I've heard its yummy and I am needing something to fill in the gaps between meals. (I don't drink black tea or coffee). I got the Yerba Mate chai and chocolate. I had the chai tonight and it was all I could do to not have another cup! (It has caffeine and I'd be up all night). So yes, it was yummy! I put in a couple drops of vanilla stevia and my TBSP of milk. YUM! I heard yerba mate has helped increase losses, so I'm crossing my fingers!

The pound fairy did visit me last night though!! I had a 1 lb. loss this morning. I was very happy! It was the first full pound loss I've seen since vlcd 3. I hope it continues!

Well, today was an okay weigh-in, .4 lbs lossed. At least I'm losing, right? I also measured today and couldn't believe my eyes. The inches are really falling off. I have never measured in other diets before so to see this many inches this fast is really crazy! I just wish it was coming on my HIPS and THIGHS!! Oh well, hopefully it will start to come off of there soon..

So if the numbers seem big, it could have been that. But I think I did loose a LOT of water weight and bloating that first week.

I woke up with a .8 lb loss today. Not to shabby. I am still waiting for the pound fairy to come I guess!

I did lower my dose (as per veteran hcg-er's instructions) because of yesterday's (and the day before) extreme hunger. Getting the dose right is critical! I am now on 125 and hope that is my sweet spot!

I'm a little discouraged this morning. I was so excited for the first week of losses because people usually do so great. I am disappointed because I've only lost 5 lbs. I know this is better than other diets but it doesn't seem as good as other people, and I'm following protocol pretty closely. I hope it's just TOM who is in town for the week.

So I woke up this morning with a 1.0 lb loss. I skipped yesterday's dose and feel GREAT today! (Yesterday I woke up feeling nauseous and weak and dizzy). Having trouble getting all my calories in with the restrictions. Others have had this issue too.

This morning I woke up and looked in the mirror and noticed a big difference in my tummy area. That little bulge that would never go away after my babies is finally shrinking!!!! I can't believe I am seeing results already and its only VLCD 4!

I slept like a rock but then woke up feeling really nauseous and light headed. A fellow hcg-er (veteran) says I should skip my dose today to see if I am too high. I am planning on doing that to see if my hunger gets a little better.

Well, I woke up to a 1.2 lb loss today so that was good. I was REALLY hoping to break into the 140's but didn't happen I am going to skip braggs and tomatoes today to see if I get a better loss tomorrow. (Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled with 1.2, but I was hoping to see bigger losses this first week like many others that have come before me.)

So I was so excited/nervous for my weigh in this morning. I was thinking about it all night and was nervous to get on the scale. I was happy to see a 2.6 loss! My hunger is still pretty bad today but haven't felt any headaches as of yet. Hopefully it goes away! I'm so tempted to up my dose today to 175 from 150 but I don't want to mess with things too early.

Today wasn't too bad, the salad was actually quite good. I am not gnawing my arm off hungry but it has been kind of hard. I can't stop thinking about food! I did well though, everything on protocol. The orange in the middle of the afternoon really helped me get through the day. I have to find something better than this herbal tea because I'm not liking it but need something during the day. I also lost almost all my load weight before even starting VLCD. My net load weight would be +0.2 lbs. Well, even though I usually stay up a lot later than this, I think I might hit the hay... so I can wake up tomorrow and eat something! lol.. I hope my dosage is right... I guess we'll see in a few days.

Gaining weight, even though I was supposed to, was really hard. It was difficult to see the numbers go up on the scale! I don't know if I actually ended up eating enough. I tried to stuff my face but it is harder than it looks!

I tried to eat as much as I could. I was a little nervous about gaining so much weight. After all, aren't I supposed to be LOSING weight?! :)
