Phase 3 - Day #4

Current Weight (LIW): 128.0 lbs. (-0.6)
From LIW: +1.2

Steak Day
Dinner: 16 oz. Delicious Huge Gigantic Tasty Steak (w/ small amount of sauteed onions and mushrooms)
Dessert: Apple
Drinks: Yerba Mate Chai with HWC, Smooth Move (didn't even drink a whole cup)

Total Calories: ~950
Calorie Breakdown: 50% Fat /43% Protein / 7% Carb

I was a little nervous about the results of my first even high protein day but I am happy with the results. Even though I only lost .6, I think that I really ended up losing more. I weighed about an hour earlier than I normally do and I think that has something to do with it.

Today I was fasting for religious purposes and decided that since I wouldn't be eating until dinner anyway, I would do a steak day. I had a HUGE steak in the fridge that needed to be eaten and so it was kind of an opportune situation. Well, let me just tell you it was the most amazing steak I have had in a LONG time and it was HUGE. I enjoyed every single bite of that baby and will probably fall asleep dreaming and drooling about it. I'm so glad it tasted good because I was a little hungry and having something so delicious made it all worth it. Lets just hope the scales make it worth it tomorrow!

I had a really hard time (even after that huge steak) not eating another apple. I LOVE apples. I know I have said this before but I didn't like apples before this diet and now I can't get enough of them. I even found an excuse to do an apple day a couple weeks ago (we were traveling and it was the easiest way to eat). Even as I sit here, full to the brim, I am thinking about the crispy sweetness that a good ol' gala would for sure give me. Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

Hope you all have an excellent night and I'll for sure post results of the steak day tomorrow!

Well, it seems that my over-induldgence did, in fact, "weigh" me down. I didn't do a steak day because I wasn't quite 2 lbs. over my LIW (but close) but I did decide to do a high protein day. I wasn't exactly sure about what to do so I just decided to wing it. I at a lot of protein and pretty much NO carbs so I hope it works.

Either way, I have decided to do a steak day tomorrow. The biggest reason is because I am fasting for the first 2 meals of the day anyway (for religious purposes) and I have a 16 oz. steak in the fridge I need to eat. I thought it would be a good opportunity for a preemptive strike!

I have to say, I am really excited to get back on P3 on Monday. Today hasn't been to bad but I miss my fruit!! I went to a fresh produce stand and got some delicious cherries and I am PRAYING that is not what made me gain so much. I can't wait to eat those delicious treats!

I have recently been considering a second round. I am a little nervous about where I am going to end up stabilizing and I am thinking that I might want to get rid of a few more pounds. I guess we'll see how P3 and P4 go.

Well, wish me luck on the scales tomorrow! I hope I don't "need" a steak day (on day 4 of P3.. not fun) but I'm still doing one so either way, I'm eating steak tomorrow!

Phase 3 - Day #2

Current Weight (LIW): 126.6 lbs. (-0.6)
From LIW: -0.2

Breakfast: 1 egg fried in butter, 3 oz. Ground Sirloin (96%) with fried onions, mushrooms, and red peppers
Snack: Cherries
Lunch: Hamburger on Romaine Lettuce Leaf (tomato, Duke's Mayo, Sugar Free Ketchup, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms) with 2 pickles
Dinner: 7 oz. top sirloin, Lobster Tail with butter, mashed cauliflower, spaghetti squash and a huge salad.
Dessert: 3 Sugar Free Chocolate Covered Almonds

Total Calories: ~1600
Calorie Breakdown: 60% Fat / 28% Protein / 13% Carb

I was a happy girl this morning when I woke up to see my weight below my LIW! I was down .6 which put me .2 below my LIW. I did a very similar breakfast but only did 1 egg and then I had a few cherries for a snack later in the day. I also had a hamburger like yesterday and it tasted SO YUMMY!

For dinner, I think I overdid it. I am SO full, overly full... I'm talkin' Thanksgiving Day full.. I am hoping it has so time to digest before I go to bed. I'm a little worried about the spaghetti squash and the huge increase in calories I did today (and the sugar free candy). Everything else was pretty close to protocol (even if I overdid it on the calories). It was our anniversary dinner and I was loving everything that I just kept eating! And I ate things SO fast that by the time I was finished, I knew I was overly full. Oh well, I'm hoping I see some "output" overnight and that I won't be too far over my LIW tomorrow.

Have a good night! :)

Dessert: Apple

Total Calories: 1069

After waking up to another gain, I decided to stop stressing about it and if I am consistently over my LIW, maybe I have the wrong LIW! I am going to listen to my body and see if 127.4 might be my number. I had bounced around that number so much in the last week and I may have been going through some sort of immunity so that might be my number this round. I will keep you posted!

Today I was very full all day. I kept being paranoid that I was over doing it and I guess we'll find out tomorrow if I did! I am a happy camper and I can honestly say with that burger, I didn't even miss the bun! It was delish!

I am LOVING P3! Hope tomorrow I find out that it loves me too...

VLCD Day #49

Current Weight (LIW): 126.8 lbs. (+0.0)
Dose: 160iu (SQ)

Breakfast: Yerba Mate Chai w/ Milk
Lunch: Curry Chicken with Cabbage
Snack: Apple
Dinner: Chili

Cheats: Taste of bacon, taste of cottage cheese, taste of DS's ice cream, WAY too much extra gum... not a happy day for me.

So I stalled today but I'm okay with it because of the traveling and everything. I had a rough day today (being in Philly and all) with temptations and I didn't do so hot. It's been my worst day by far as far as cheating is concerned. It seemed I had to have a bite of everything. It was really rough. But its over now and I have to live with whatever consequences await me tomorrow. I hope I don't end up with a steak day on my first day of P3!!

Hope you are all having better success than me!

VLCD Day #48

Current Weight (LIW): 126.8 lbs. (+0.2)
Dose: 160iu (SQ)

Breakfast: Yerba Mate Chai w/ Milk
Snack: Apple
Lunch: Apple
Snack: Apple
Dinner: Apple
Snack: Apple
Dessert: 2 pieces of Extra Sugar Free gum...

So I woke up to another gain. That is okay, I guess my body just wants to stabilize a little higher than I wanted. Also, TOM is here (again...) so hcg has really screwed up my cycle. Oh well, I'm sure that is why I am gaining and not losing.

Either way, I took this as my LIW and I really hope I can maintain here. Today I was driving from Raleigh, NC to Philadelphia, PA and did an apple day, partly for the water retention of TOM and driving and partly for convenience. I couldn't cook all day and I really didn't want to deal with the temptation/regrets of eating out.

The drive was good but I was a little hungry and counted down the hours until my next hour. I think if I would have been in my regular environment, it wouldn't have been so bad because I like to snack while I eat.

Well, I am happy to report my hcg LIW! 126.8

So my goal over the next few weeks is to stay at or under this number. Which means I can't cross over into 129 without a steak day. I hope I can do it! I have to say I am very excited to try all the new foods and can't wait for Thursday morning, when I plan on eating eggs and maybe bacon for breakfast.
