R2 - VLCD Day #18

Current Weight: 126.6 lbs. (+1.4)
Dose: 155 iu - TOM

Breakfast: 1 whole egg, 1 egg white
Snack: Apple
Lunch: Eggdrop soup
Snack: 1/2 Apple
Dinner: Lean ground beef and small tomato with ACV, S&P and Basil

I had an eventful weekend! I knew I'd be up because of my carb day on Saturday. If this week is anything like last week though, I will hit my goal very soon! Last week, I lost 9.4 (and gained 5.6) so my net loss was 3.8, which I am very happy about, especially since week 1, I only lost 3.6! If I have similar losses, I could hit 120 within a week. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that TOM doesn't derail my losses in any way.

So I have been working out a lot lately. I do Zumba at least once a week, usually twice and then this past saturday, I ran my first 5K race! It was really nice and I felt SO good after! It made me want to run more. I actually went again this morning and did another 3 miles or so. Then, because I had planned to all week, I went to Zumba tonight. Needless to say, my legs are KILLING ME! But I did a detox bath and that is helping a lot. I just hope I can walk tomorrow.

I think tomorrow I am going to take a break then maybe run again Wednesday morning. I am hoping to do a 10K in November. I ran this 5k with absolutely no training and it wasn't bad at all.. I ran the whole time! So I think I am able to do the 10K in 33 days...

Well, I hope you all have had success on the scales over the weekend and I'm crossing my fingers for a big loss tomorrow. I am really hoping that all this working out isn't going to stop my scales. Oh well though, I feel GREAT and that is what counts..

Went much higher on the calories today, mostly due to the Unwich. It was SO good though! I am really hoping that my detox bath tonight gets rid of any potential water weight that may have happened from working out yesterday or from eating a little adventurously today!

I have to admit, I was quite pleased with my steak day results. I lost a total of 3.4 lbs. which makes it my best steak day yet! I ended up doing high protein today (as you can see from above) and I am pretty pleased with how it went. I am just hoping that the scale sees things the same way I do! I keep thinking "there is no way I only ate 1110 calories today" but I guess its true! I keep going to my counter to make sure I didn't forget anything but I am pretty sure everything is accounted for! Pretty cool...

I am going to start working out tomorrow. I have basically completed P2 and P3 but I am going to try and continue P3 eating for a while. I want to eat bread and stuff but it is not that strong of an urge. Today, the family all had carrot cake which looked and smelled AMAZING! Luckily though, I was able to say no and keep going on my high protein day.

I also had a detox bath tonight. I was hesitant about this but I'm hoping it helps relieve me of some excess fluid my body may have encountered while traveling.

Well, I hope you all have a great night and thanks for reading! :)

I had a successful steak day yesterday! Dropped 3 lbs and I was so happy! I am doing a high protein day today. I don't know how successful it will be but I am hoping for at least .6 to get me into my safety zone. I am still recovering from my big cheat but hopefully I will be within my range soon enough.

I tried to get in a lot of protein today. It turns out I got in about 140 grams so I hope that is enough. I didn't do any fruit today and I won't do any tomorrow if I'm still over 2 lbs above my LIW. I am also thinking I might do a detox bath tonight. I think it will feel really nice and I always enjoy them.

Well, I'll keep you posted with my weight tomorrow. We are heading to the New Jersey shore tomorrow to see family and it should be fun! I will keep my water by my side and stay strong! Have a good night!

Hooray for Mini Steak Days!! I love waking up to over a pound loss! It feels so good, like all my "hard" work paid off. (PS, steak days are a piece of cake in P2). I was looking forward to my apple all day though.

I didn't hold back on the meals today! I was wanting some flavor! I was really worried about my Chili, I am always worried when I pair tomatoes and beef. I guess we'll see the results tomorrow.

Now for a soothing Detox Bath and a book.... :)

VLCD Day #38

Current Weight: 129.8 lbs. (-1.4)
Dose: 160iu (SQ)

Breakfast: Yerba Mate Chai w/ milk
Snack: 1 Apple Ring (to help with light-headedness this morning)
Lunch: Chili
Snack: Apple
Snack: Chocolate Delight
Dessert: Possibly 1/2 serving of strawberries or 1 more chocolate delight

The steak day did it's job! I'm happy to report I had a 1.4 lb loss this morning and I am finally (at long last) in the 120's. I am ecstatic to be so close to my goal and I am feeling so good!

I have also been reading into something called 'Eat Right for your Type' by Dr. Peter D'Adamo. I'm really curious and want to do some more research. This is the website I have found because I am B+. Blood type B+ diet. Check it out..

Well, I am about to hit a detox bath. I have been really craving one for a while. I know it might make me retain water or possible sweat down my hcg levels but I thought I might be safe because TOM is here.

Have a good night!

Detox Bath

I thought I'd share one of my favorite things during this whole thing. It is so relaxing and makes my skin feel so nice!

Detox Bath:

2 cups of Epsom Salt
1 box of Baking Soda
2 Tbsp. of Ground Ginger
Baby Oil

I make the water as hot as I can stand it and soak for about 30 minutes. (Must be careful when getting out as you will probably be very light headed). After drying off in the hot bathroom, I put on some sweats and hop under a blanket for another 30 minutes or so. By this time, I have sweat like crazy!

The next day I usually have a significant loss. My first detox bath, I lost 1 lb. It felt really nice. My second detox bath, I lost 2 lbs the next day but I also did magnesium citrate that day too. Either way, it is completely relaxing and good for your skin!

One thing that I found was that I was hungry the next day or so. I have wondered if maybe I sweat so much that my hcg sweat out. This is just an unfounded theory but just thought I'd let you all know!

VLCD Day #28

Current Weight: 136.0 lbs. (+1.0)
Dose: 155iu (SQ)

Breakfast: Yerba Mate
Snack: Strawberries with Truvia
Lunch: Chicken salad with "honey" mustard
Snack: Yerba Mate
Dinner: Cod and Steamed Spinach (with ACV and tiny bit of S&P)
Snack: 1/2 serving of Strawberries with Truvia

I was really disappointed to wake up with a gain. I am pretty sure it is just water retention though, what with the yoga and the sodium intake yesterday. I have tried to keep sodium low today (mustard was a big one) but other than that I think I did pretty well. I don't know why my calories are so low. The past couple days they have been up to like 450 but today they are super low. It is probably because I did leafy greens and strawberries today. I go in waves with cravings. I got on the orange smoothie kick a while back and then bought some new oranges, now I don't like it as much. So I did the dried apples (which still sound so good) but I am not having them today because I am worried they contributed to my gain. I might experiment with them tomorrow.

As far as hunger goes, I am feeling pretty good. I am hoping my newly mixed hcg is doing the trick! I haven't really felt hunger all day! :) That just feels so good. I am a little nervous though because I am brewing up a nice hot detox bath and I am hoping my theory about sweating out my hcg is not true. I guess we'll see in the next couple days.

I have been reading a lot about coconut oil on the forum and heard some people get better losses when they have a couple tablespoons a day. I don't know if that would work for me but I am considering trying it. It is a main ingredient in people's "cocoa crack" and I'm sure that would taste soo good. I have found some great videos on youtube that I am toying with the idea of trying... not sure though.

Well, hope this detox bath gets rid of any extra toxins and water I have floating around in me! Have a good night!

VLCD Day #21

Current Weight: 139.2 lbs. (-0.8)
Dose: 155iu (SQ)

Breakfast: Yerba Mate
Lunch: Chicken Salad with "honey" mustard dressing (and 1 slice of tomato.. oops)
Snack: Apple (1/2)
Dinner: Shrimp and steamed spinach

So I finally broke my gain/stall. I lost .8 lb today which means I lost the last 2 days gains (gains without cheating really stink!) and lost an additional .2 lbs. I honestly think it was water weight or something.

I took some magnesium citrate today (to help to get moving). It tasted HORRIBLE.. and it made me feel a little yucky. But it did the job! If you are going to try it, you must be around a bathroom all day. The need to go hits you fast (every couple hours or so for me) so ya... but I'm happy to see it's helping. I can't do it again though. I need to go get the capsules because the drink was just.. ugh. I had to chug it or I wouldn't have been able to finish it.

VLCD Day #15

Current Weight: 142.0 lbs. (-0.6)
Dose: 160iu (SQ) *went up because of hunger late last night*

Breakfast: Roma
Lunch: Chicken with "honey" mustard and Baked Onions
Dinner: Shrimp and steamed spinach
Snack: More onions

I was feeling really skinny as I lay in bed this morning. I was hoping for a big loss! But I stepped on the scale and got a .6 lb loss. I'll take it, especially after the rogue cocoa incident last night. I won't be doing that again!

I have been so so hungry today and I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't have gone up. Maybe I should have gone down?
